Politische Bildung auf der Sekundarstufe I
Politische Bildung prägte den Geschichtsunterricht der 3. Sek B/C Klasse während der letzten drei Schuljahre immer wieder. So wurden beispielsweise Abstimmungen und Wahlen intensiv verfolgt, analysiert und besprochen. Im Deutschunterricht wurde gelernt, wie man eine Debatte richtig führt. Mit unterschiedlichen Themen und Gruppen konnte das Gelernte umgesetzt werden und endete schliesslich in einer Schlussdebatte, die per Video festgehalten und benotet wurde. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler waren immer mit grossem Engagement dabei. So auch im Januar, als die Klasse den Zürcher Kantonsrat besuchte. Dort hatten sie einerseits die Möglichkeit die Montagmorgensitzung mit zu verfolgen und Hannah Pfalzgraf (SP) persönlich zu treffen. Die Jungpolitikerin besuchte vor wenigen Jahren selber die Sekundarschule Mettmenstetten und war daher prädestiniert, der Klasse aus ihrer Perspektive Red’ und Antwort zu stehen.
Im März reiste die Klasse schliesslich nach Bern, wo sie die Bundeshauptstadt am Morgen per Foto OL erkundete. Am Nachmittag verfolgten die Jugendlichen auf der Gästetribüne die Fragestunde des Bundesrates im Nationalratssaal. Anschliessend fand in einem Sitzungszimmer ein Treffen mit dem Zürcher FDP Nationalrat Hans-Ulrich Bigler statt. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler hatten im Vorfeld recherchiert und sich Fragen zum Politalltag überlegt. Während einer weiteren Stunde konnten sie mit gezielten Fragen einiges über den Alltag eines Politikers erfahren. Durch den Besuch im Kantonsrat, dem Treffen mit einer linken Jungpolitikerin sowie einem bürgerlichen Politiker in Bern, wurde die Klasse mit Personen aus dem linken und rechten Politspektrum konfrontiert. Dadurch konnten sich die Schülerinnen und Schüler ein differenziertes Bild über die Thematik verschaffen.
